Sustainability is a core value and business-driver of every company and brand within the Paardekooper Group. Our knowledge of and experience with responsible packaging solutions enables us to contribute towards reducing our clients’ carbon footprints.

Sustainable Development Goals

The Paardekooper Group endorses and is committed to ‘The global goals for sustainable development’. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the most important themes in our day-to-day operations.

ISO certificates

As the Paardekooper Group we have signed the ISO 26000 self declaration, which helps us implement our CSR policy and keep it up-to-date and relevant. People, Planet and Profit are the three ‘bottom lines’ that form the basis of a good CSR policy.

We champion the interests of people within and outside our company and as a BSCI member we keep a careful watch on labour and environmental conditions in the supply chain. We also support good causes.

Everything we do is done from a CSR perspective and in accordance with ISO 14001: for the benefit of the company and the environment. We are, therefore, clear and honest in everything, including the source of packaging and disposables. We put 100% effort into minimising our environmental-impact. We are constantly investigating this impact using the recognised Life Cycle Assessment method (LCA) in our own research centre, The LCA Centre.

Insight into this information helps us develop alternative products with a lower environmental-impact. Furthermore, as a leading supplier of packaging to companies in the recreation and leisure branch many of our products comply with the Green Key stipulations. We have also implemented ‘green’ measures such as waste separation and sustainable transportation. In this way we are working hard to accelerate packaging sustainability.

Profit and sustainable packaging solutions dovetail together very well and collaboration with leading suppliers guarantees that our products are of the required quality. We always strive to achieve the right balance between finances and the interests of people and the planet.

Our CSR efforts are broadly certificated in accordance with the most stringent standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Key topics include CO₂ reduction, food-safety, storage and transport, quality management and environment management.
